Our Student's Rocked the SAT

The Michigan Department of Education announced that only 24 schools who have higher subsidized lunch rates exceeded the state average SAT Scores. West Michigan of Environmental Science ranked 10th out of the 24 schools.

Based on the 36 juniors who took it, the average score was 1017, with an average math subscore of 512.5 and an average English language arts subscore of 504.2.

This is the fourth year that all Michigan public high school juniors have taken the SAT, which serves as a college entrance exam and a state English language arts and math assessment. SAT scoring runs from a low of 400 to a high of 1600, while the scoring on the math and English subtests goes from 200 to 800.

These scores are a testament to our students and staff at WMAES. We believe that when we foster creativity and promote academic achievement, we develop character and commitment to education past high school.
