“Hello WMAES families and friends. I am Ms. Andrea and have been the school social worker for over 10 years and for the second year I am working exclusively with the elementary students. I love working with the younger population, assisting them with difficult feelings and behaviors and solving problems in healthy ways. I enjoy taking students outside as much as possible and keeping their bodies and minds moving while addressing their individual needs.
I have been in the Grand Rapids area since 1990 after leaving the very northern part of the Upper Peninsula, where I continue to visit the area and my family (I am number 6 of 8 children) as often as I am able. I have three adult children and one grandchild who is now in kindergarten at WMAES. When I am not at work I enjoy watching college football, as well as cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Montreal Canadiens. Most of all I enjoy being outside as much as possible in all types of weather and activities and pushing my body in healthy ways.”
