Renowned Artist Reggie Laurent Visits West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science

At West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science we pride ourselves in bringing unique opportunities and experiences to our students. Whether it be maple tapping, tree-planting or a walk across our 62-acres, there is no shortage of opportunities for our young learners to step out of the classroom and learn hands-on. Luckily for us, renowned artist Reggie Laurent gave our students a chance to learn about creativity and art themselves when he visited our school!

Mr. Laurent spoke at our Special Artist Assembly on May 2, 2023 and guided our students through the creation of some amazing artwork. He and our volunteers facilitated the creation of their art and helped display it across the gym creating a vibrant and beautiful mural. We are so proud of our students for what they helped create, and look forward to proudly presenting their art in the gym for the rest of the school year!
