Meet our new Secondary Principal, Alan Bosker

We are excited to introduce Mr. Alan Bosker as the new Secondary Principal for West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science.

Alan comes to us from Three Oaks Public School Academy in Muskegon, where he served as the Academy’s Assistant Principal. In 2011, before joining TOPSA, he helped open Hope Academy and served as the Academy’s School Counselor. Hope Academy is a K-12 charter school on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids. Alan is passionate about education and believes WMAES provides students an educational home and a leaping point towards a meaningful career and a life full of opportunities.

We have a strong, unified leadership team in Kerri Barrett – Elementary Principal and Alan Bosker – Secondary Principal. We are confident this leadership team will nurture and enhance the WMAES culture that has been created through hard work and dedication to the students entrusted to us for their education. With a GREAT staff, faculty, and leadership team in place, it is exciting to imagine the educational experiences in store for our students.

We are so grateful to Mrs. Jennifer Colin who served as our Interim Secondary Principal. She has been an integral part of the WMAES family for the past 14 years where she impacted students’ lives as a guidance counselor and then as their interim principal. She stepped up and took on challenges and was a natural leader. We wish her all the best on her new educational journey. She will be missed at WMAES!
